There is no sign-up, e-mail address or password. On first launch the game gets a random identifier; your nickname and cloud save are linked to it. We use no analytics, no tracking and no personalized advertising, and we never sell your data.
In the app's private storage: your progress (levels, stars, points), your in-game coins and shop items (virtual, not real money), your settings, your nickname and your random identifier. The daily reminder notification is created by your phone itself; no server is involved.

Legal basis: providing the service you request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) – cloud save, transfer code, online play) and the security of the service as a legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
The server runs in a data center of Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) in the European Union (Falkenstein, Germany); Hetzner acts as hosting provider and data processor. Apart from them, only the developer can access the data. We do not share your data with third parties or transfer it outside the EU.
For as long as your account exists. If you don't use the online features for 2 years (no online play and no cloud save), your account and all of its data are deleted automatically. Transfer codes expire after 24 hours.
In the game: Profile → Save & new phone → Delete my online data. This immediately deletes your account, cloud save, nickname and results from the server; the progress on your phone stays, and cloud saving is switched off. If you no longer have the game, write to the e-mail address above (details: account deletion). Data stored on your phone can be deleted via your phone's Settings → Apps → WORD BATTLE → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling the app.
Under the GDPR you may request access to and a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing, object to processing, and request your data in a machine-readable format. Send your request to the e-mail address above; to identify you, we will ask for a transfer code (Profile → Code for new phone). You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
The game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children for personal data; please don't use your real full name as a nickname.
There are currently no real ads in the game (ad spots are only placeholders). If ads are added in the future, this policy will be updated in advance.
If the way we process data changes, this policy will be updated in advance and the effective date above will change.
